You know the term "overnight success" is rarely ever accurate. Like in this case. Most people think Cyndi Lauper just showed up on the scene in 1983 with the major hit album "She's So Unusual" but actually she had been at it for several years prior, eventually working with a band called Blue Angel. They made a little bit of noise 1980 with a song called "I Had A Love" and they even had a music video for it. Still, it would be three more years before the world would have to take notice of the legend she was to become but it's still cool to see her in the very beginning.
